Set Anodized

What good cookware can I buy?

for my mom for xmas? She wants a set of pots/pans but I am clueless. Plese tell me both brand(s) and the best material...stainless steel, hard-anodized, porcelain enamel, wood, plastic? Thanks!

The three basic pots you need to start a collection: a two-quart saucepan, a 10-inch saute pan, and an eight-quart stockpot. They'll cover just about any cooking task, and if you buy high-quality pieces, she'll have them for a long, long time. And if you're buying only three, you can get the best.

I love stainless steel. I have had a set since 1972 and never regreted the money it cost....better three great pots than a whole set of cheapies...but that's just my opinion...

Since you don't say how much you have to spend it is hard to suggest...Saladmaster and Kitchen Aid are great but a bit pricey......mine is salad master,,,,at the bottom end is
Faberware at Walmart....my SiL has a set and she likes them....I think she paid $79 for hers recently..

The Titanium line by Anolon is definitely a best buy. It is quality cookware but won't break the bank for a set.
